Holy Hour for Vocations

The number of priests available to serve in parishes is fewer than in the past.

Let us ask the "Master of the harvest" to send out laborers into his field!"  Thre is no better way than to speak to the Lord directly!

On the first Thursday of the month at Corpus Christi Church, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, you are invited to take part in a Holy Hour - Eucharistic adoration - to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

The Holy Hour includes adoration time, Evening Prayer and Benediction.

Let us also remember in a special way our own seminarian - Michal Faix  - who is enrolled at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe.

What is the importance of Eucharisitic adoration?

Eucharistic adoration is th worship we give to Jesus who is tryly present to us uner the appearance of bread.  The Eucharist is a priceless treasure.  By our adoration of Jesus inthe Hoy Eucharist, we make contact with the "very well-spring" of grace.  As St. Alphonsus Liguori noted, "of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us."
